Artist Statement
 
Jeanne Marler studied for ten years with Daniel Brient and Hélène Béland at Mission- Renaissance, Montreal, a school specializing in the teaching of art in the style of les Beaux Arts.  Her medium is oil on canvas. Her artistic signature is the capturing of the intimacy of her subject. 
 
She is in continuous demand as a portraitist.  Her landscapes reflect her love of nature.
 
As well as being exhibited in Knowlton Gallery, Knowlton, Quebec, Jeanne Marler's paintings are in private collections in London, New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Ottawa, and Edmonton as well as in North Carolina, Maine, Vermont, New York, Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia.
